Interestingly enough, the first five chapters are still very relevant today, though, because the basic architecture of Palm OS (from 1.x to 5.x) has not changed significantly. If you're looking for a good introduction to Palm OS programming, even if you're not especially interested in the database aspects, the first five chapters are.
